As far as getting a scanner to go in and preform a forced regen. I’m not sure that would be cost effective. I think it’s going to be several thousand for one that will preform the job.
I can’t say much about the 3rd gen engines. I haven’t worked on them yet. Been out of work due to a broken ankle. I can say don’t use them as grocery getters. I have a 2018 eco with 82k on it and the only problem I have had is an ext temp sensor that quite working. Mine has been a great trick
It needs to have a regen preformed. It’s simple to do. I think the aftermarket scanners can preform it. I would call some of the independent repair shops in your area and ask if they can do that.
It should be covered by warranty. They came with a 5yr 100k power train warranty. Look up the dodge customer care phone # and give them a call. Is it still stock. No mods?
I have a 2018 eco truck with almost 80k on it. It’s been a good running truck with no problems. I’m thinking of deleting the egr and cooler but I am concerned about setting codes for the egr system. Was wondering what other people have done about that? Thanks for any info
