I had that problem on my 18 at about 30k. Dealer did a computer update to fix it. No trouble since. Btw, i cleaned my map sensor for the first time and it was not clogged up at all. All stock, oil changes 7500 or less. Monthly trips of 180 miles at freeway speeds. Otherwise rural driving.
Not at all. You have an established rapport with the service manager and i don't. I will gladly tag along rather than take my chances. My selling dealer is jack Powell, but I've never been back? So far I've done all my service. Additionally, there is power in numbers....thanks
Banks improves performance and more than likely the engine runs cleaner as a result. Banks has been around a long time and makes quality products that are legal.
2018 with 9000 miles. Ive done two oil and filter changes already! No problems, great truck so far. The oil has been as high as 230 on long grades and im considering removing some shutters.
I would love to hear about the bypass filter and how it is installed. Pictures would be awesome. Have you had an oil analysis done since you installed the filter? Thanks
Does anyone have any experience with the bypass oil filter systems for our trucks? If so, please share your results and the brand you used, how long you have used it, etc. It would seem to be a smart way to keep soot out of our oil for those who cannot legally do a tune or delete. Any experience...
The issue only affects 4x4s made from March 16, 2018 through April 20, 2018, based on research into the part number and part build dates. That means just 10,160 vehicles sold in the United States are affected, along with a few thousand trucks sold elsewhere. The NHTSA campaign number is 19V-324...
Curious as the the differences between this and the banks derringer? Im sorry to say i am in California so i’m trying to make my engine more durable and stay legal.
My 2018 has a little over 6k miles and no issues. Ive never seen a regen message or any check engine lights. It wouldnt go into reverse once, but, i now realize it was because the door was open. Smart truck! Some of the comments and issues concern me, but, living in CA, there isnt much i can do...
John Jensen, you mentioned you have a good service manager at your dealership. Im in CA as well and am wondering if you have discussed any issues with removing the foam pads from the top of the engine, and if he has any opinion on the banks derringer if it gets carb approved?
