2016 Laramie, got overheat message suddenly driving on highway. Pulled over, had it towed to dealer. Said the EGR cooler was leaking. When they replaced it, shop paperwork indicates that they also replaced intake manifold as well as NOX sensor. Just wondering if it is normal procedure to replace manifold during EGR cooler replacement?

The plastic intake manifold may have shown some signs of melting. When the EGR cooler fails or leaks it can inject hot coolant into the intake manifold and potentially cause a fire.
