    DEF cannot affect mileage or power. The SCR is at the end of the exhaust system. All DEF does is neutralize the leftover NOx emissions. It is totally unrelated to the engine. You gain nothing by removing it

    Bummer. Sounds like the person you dealt with has no knowledge of the product she represents. You have a classic case of an HPFP failure for which there is the Z46 recall. And the lack of the new pump they are supposed to replace temporarily your CP4 with another CP4. All for free. And...

    Welcome to the forum I don't know what the problem or solution might be but I have a suggestion. Dealers usually warranty/guarantee their sales for at least thirty days. Suggest you contact the dealer and have them fix it or take it back.

    Yes, all diesel engine makes have the same basic regen processes or procedures. They may use different triggers, timing, methods of measuring, etc. but accomplish and process the same.

    Shadow is correct. You cannot improve an Eco with a larger air intake. The small Eco turbo can't do anything with more air. GDE long ago tested and proved this. Your wife's Eco improvements did not come from installing that S&B.

    Thanks for your link. Based on your discussion with Motori I am changing to Quaker State Euro Full Synthetic 5W-40 (MS-12991) this month.. I've been using T-6 5w-40 and additives since new. It will be interesting to see if I get the same results as you.

    I don't have an answer but I do know that Alpha will not work if you also have the OBDLink MX+ app open. If you do have that app open, close it and see if that works.
