On Facebook in the Everything EcoDiesel group there is talk of production of the old engine having stopped and a new re-engineered version of the Gen 2 is out. Has anyone reading on here heard of such a thing? This would the tantamount to admitting the engine was a lemon.

I've noticed that many of the full deletes online don't show much smoke coming out the exhaust. The most I noticed was from a -20 cold start. I have no desire to roll coal and was wondering if those that have done full deletes, do you see much smoke?

It is going in for the EGR recall tomorrow, getting the glow plug situation looked at as well. 33.5k miles over 21 months. Most of that was put on in the first 18 months since I haven't been doing much driving the last 3 months.
