Finally had my cap installed yesterday. It is an A.R.E. Series V with flip out windows and flip down bulk head window, single handle at back, and luggage tracks on top for a bar system. Haven't had it long to give a good review, but my initial impression is it is built solid. I power washed it...
Who uses ladder racks and what brand do you have? Likes or dislikes? I will be using mainly for kayak transport, but also when the need arises to haul home extended length lumber.

Been looking for a Rod Rack that spans across the bed behind the cab in the stake pockets. Came across several, both DIY and pro built. The nice ones are way out of my budget.
I'll only use this a few times a year for trips to the coast and Lake Erie. Decided to build one. Keep in mind my...
Just a reminder to keep your wheel lock adapter in your vehicle. Without it, even a flat tire on the road is tow truck status....
My friends 08 Dodge 1500 4wd fried a hub unit today on a 160 mile fishin trip. We limped it home to my garage with a new bearing in hand, but were stuck in the water...
Can any of you in the salt belt recommend a product for a DIY undercarriage coating?
Have you ever done this? How did you apply it?
With the salt & '5 nasty lines' season approaching, (pre-treatment they put on our roads here for you southern people), I'd like to coat the underside of my...
2015 CCSB BigHorn 3.55 & OEM 20s
From Ohio to the NC coast. That's crossing the Apps and a lot of 75-80mph driving. Bed was loaded with chairs, canopy, luggage, coolers, etc. Had a hitch n haul on back loaded with rods and my tackle. Not bad IMO. Didn't fill up until I got here.
I've read that it's not a good idea to use cruise control while towing. Why?
I tow an 18-1/2' aluminum bass boat. I don't know the actual weight, but I can't imagine it being more then 3000# if that. The roads I travel to the lakes are mostly flat, 60mph two-lane highways. I use the tow/haul...

For the life of me I cannot figure a way, besides carrying a separate FOB, of locking the truck with the engine running upon exit. I make a lot of quick in/out stops and I'd like to let it idle as I do. But I refuse to leave it unlocked. How can I lock it and get back in...
Finished up the install today. Went pretty smooth, and as I've said before, they make a solid product IMO.
We are in the middle of 3" rain fall so pics are just in the barn which isn't very friendly to cameras. Will definitely get more when the weather cooperates.
Any questions on install...
Installed my cover lastnight, along with window vents. Overall very pleased with the quality & fitment of both products. Next up is grille inserts, GrillCraft MX Series. Should be at my door today. I'll post that soon as I get it done.
So what the heck is my 2015 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel? A Dodge, Ram, or Chrystler??? If somebody asks me what I bought, I say a Ram 1/2 ton. But that just doesn't sound right. Dodge does. I know technically it's a separate brand, much like GMC/Chevy. But have you MOPAR guys accepted that? What's your...
I know where they are and what they do. My question is how much of an impact would a steel mesh grille insert, replacing the OEM style 'fin' style, have on the operation of said AGS? Is it operated by speed or measured airflow?
Like this I did on my 04 Yukon...

I'd like to change out the chrome handles for body colored ones. Looks just like a cover applied such as any badge on the truck. Is it just a pry off and wha lah there's my shiny black paint underneath? Any help/info is appreciated. New to Chrysler/Ram.
