Took truck back in for repair and kept getting told that it was a cooling problem having nothing to do with the extended warranty. After pointing out the section in the warranty about the turbocharger system “including all pipes and hoses” and asking why the turbo cooler line wouldn’t be part...
Just came home from dealer. My 2015 Ram eco diesel has appointment to repair coolant leak under manifold. Approximately $1,400 and telling me this is a coolant problem and has nothing to do with emissions extended warranty. I am seeing posts that indicate that turbo coolant parts are covered...
I monitor the soot level with Insight Edge CTS 2 monitor. I bought at amazon. I also did a GDE tune with the upgrade to monitor regens. So far no cels.
Didn’t use led. Replaced with same bulb that came out. Even pulled the other tail light and changed left and right bulb and plug. Still have right light message. Read a post where someone mentions flashing evic at dealership. I try to stay far away as I can from the $119/hr they like to charge...
I have a Bluetooth obd2 code reader. I have used Carista app on iPhone to clear codes when cel was on but this comes up as a picture of truck showing right rear light out. I’ve probably driven 400 miles and it still comes on. Thought maybe it was a stored message, not a code.
I recently had a brake light out warning showing right rear light out. I replaced a bad bulb and light is now working but warning still showing light out. I’ve pulled battery cable to see if that would clear the warning but it is still there. This is no big deal, only a bit irritating.
I was having same issue with 2015 Ram with 52,000 miles. I cleaned egr return tube and installed GDE hot tune with regen monitor option. P24ae has disappeared and soot level has been increasing at 1% every 10 miles. I monitor with Edge Insight. My driving habits are generally 15 - 20 mile...
Just tried out GDE for first time. Wow! Chose the Regen option and took it through the first regen. Reset my trip a and monitored last 20 miles. Local driving, stop and go at least six times and major increase in mileage. I know this is not enough mileage to determine what results will be but...
Didn’t do map sensor. It was replaced recently. Probably should have but got sidetracked. Did drive through a regen. Soot level on Edge was @71% when started and dropped to 9% at complete. An appointment with a rod and reel kind of interrupted any other work on truck for today.
As expected here’s before and after. I am going to go for a GDE real soon. I have insight edge that lets me know when regen is taking place and I am still trying to decide if I want to add any options.
Thanks cs. I just watched a video on cleaning egr diffuser and see what you mean. I’ll get in garage this coming week and see what condition mine is in. Thanks again
I purchased a 2015 Ram 1500 eco about a year ago with 42,000 mi. Soon after purchase service engine throttle red lighting bolt and limp mode! I have a very steep drive and this happened at top of hill turning out of drive. $378.00 and new map sensor and a couple of weeks later lighting bolt...
