Kory has been working on creating EPA certified tunes. He just finished up building a new dyno/emissions testing facility. He’s been fighting the EPA for years now. He’s really pushing the compliant tunes right now.
I’ve had the turbo brake option for 60k+ miles now. Mileage is consistently 24-26. Little worse in the winter.
Never heard of a turbo failure and the finger being pointed at the turbo brake.
I definitely noticed the transmission shifting differently right away. As far as engine performance I didn’t notice much.
Are you monitoring your boost via a gauge?
If you are setup PIDs for boost, fuel rail pressure, throttle position, VGT position. See if anything is delayed.
Are you monitoring your boost or just saying your boost isn’t kicking in until 3000 rpm? The lag is most likely the electronic delay from the pedal to the motor.
I wish someone was using a throttle booster post AEM to confirm if the booster helps this post AEM dead pedal.
I didn’t have any...
Espos diesel based in Plattsburgh NY sells a compound kit or they use too. H&S developed a compound kit also. Diesel power performance sells it on their website. The H&S gives a great whistle. You could run it with your 60 tune or upgrade the tune if wanted. GDE also has a tune for a compound setup.
I was very close to pulling the trigger on the combo tune. I currently run GDE and love it. No issues in the 60k+ miles. Was going to make the switch because I want a trans tune and the ECU handheld just makes it easier for me. Enjoy seeing Johns positive feedback about his tunes. But like...
Yeah I agree with above. I don’t see how that is possible. If your referring to the V band on the flange just above the DPF the turbo would just keep pushing exhaust out where the Vband is. No way would it suck anything back up in.
Yes. Payload and towing capacity are 2 separate things.
Payload think how much weight the truck can haul. Ecodiesel equipped 1500s are between 1400lb and 1700lb I believe.
Towing capacity is how much weight your truck can tow via a trailer.
Yes you are correct on pin weight. Pin weight for...
