So thinking about doing something with the intake. I have read countless times that a cold air intake is a waste of money. Thinking about doing one of the cft performance tubes or just removing the silencer baffle. I know theres the possible 1-2 hp gain along with mpg. So not much to gain here. Is there any actual difference in the stainless tube vs the plastic stock one? Any input appreciated.

plastic will transfer engine bay temps less, and might transmit engine noise less than will stainless. Since the part is not very visible, there is also little "bling" value to adding stainless.

I doubt any gain. If 1-2 hp gain along with mpg was a possibility I'm certain FCA would do it. Just my two cents.
