Clock Spring on 2015 Eco diesel

Well I got bit by the Clock spring issue, in hindsight it was always a problem, since new, sometime the cruise control wouldn’t work and the backlighted control on steering wheel never worked, now the steering wheel heater, horn and stereo controls are all not working. Cheapest replacement part is 350.00 as the wiper and turn signal levers are part of the replacement assembly.
After getting hospitalized by the tailgate opening on me and this issue and the constant recalls, I may have to trade for a different brand, its a shame as this was the 4th new Dodge truck I have bought in the last 18 years.
