Crankshaft position sensor.

Dealer says I need a new tone wheel. They say the recall is vin specific and my truck does not fall under that recall. They a telling me it will be $1750 to fix. Truck is a 2017 with 85k miles. Why does my truck not fall under the recall?

Beacause Ram decided no faulty tone wheels were installed after 2016

Ram recall was some 2014-2018. Jeep was 2014-2016
You are right. I stand corrected. So, why would his 2017 Vin not be covered?

I am guessing they are saying it was a small batch of tone wheels at one manufacturing plant effected.

Have any of you made an attempt at fixing it yourself? I’m debating it. First major issue I have had on my 2015, and it has 196,000 and some change on it. Been a great truck.

Mine too, we are screwed! Class action lawsuit is going to be needed. I paid 2000, 4x4.
