Hello...completely new to forums...

and a real newbie to working on vehicles. My name is Roshelle, aka Ro. I'm a proud owner of a 2016 ecodiesel. I recently decided to learn how to work on my own vehicle. I bravely tasked myself with changing the oil and changing the fuel filter. Well, I successfully changed my oil, however, as soon as I reset my oil change due light, I got the check engine light. Thankfully I had access to a Bosch scan tool and it gave me P0480 code, something to do with the cooling fan relay. (I wondered why I got this issue after an oil change, could I have shorted or blown a fuse when my torque wrench touched the battery post?) Anywho, now I need some help in locating where the cooling relay is and any other "special" tips I should try before trying to replace it. I look forward to any information you have to share.

Oh, I also successfully changed my fuel filter. No issues noted there

Next task to brush up on is the DEF system. Any tips on DEF maintenance is also much appreciated.

It's the z case fuse attached to the battery post. Look for the 100A. That's the one for the cooling fan.

Great job on the basic maintenance! you probably just saved yourself a couple hundred bucks from dealer prices!

Thank you. That was one of the exact reasons I decided to do this myself. But also because I know this truck is staying with me forever so it’s best I learn how to maintain it. Probably a tiny thing but I certainly am proud of myself for completing the tasks.
