Hi,
I'm new here, looking to get educated.
I have a 2017 Ram 1500 eco diesel, have 37K miles on it and no issues.
But, I have two employees that have similar vehicles, 0ne a '15, and one a '16 that have had catastrophic engine failures.
The 15 had 166K miles, the '16 had 75K miles.
Both lost oil pressure while traveling at 50-60 miles per hour, no warning.
Both ran good synthetic diesel motor oil and had their vehicles serviced at 5,000 mile intervals.
The '16 was repaired under warranty at no cost, the '15 was not, and the repair cost was over $16K.
I am so far very happy with my Ram, it is very comfortable, has great torque, fantastic fuel milage.
Want to be informed about what to look for and expect.
