We have discussed how many miles on our trucks... But a quick forum search turned up nothing for engine hours. Currently I have
507 idle
3298 driving
3805 total

As people have related miles to a motor, I feel hours are just as equal in the equations when discussing bearing failure, egr leaks, oil cooler failures and so on and so forth.

My thinking is,
Could bearing failures be more common in high idle times?
Could the egr be more prone or more frequent to failure to those in stop and go traffic?

Just thinking out loud as the truck has it in the evic, and again in the trip menus. Maybe those with failures and major repairs to come can start documenting time also!

I believe the previous owner did a lot of across state driving mixed with gridlock traffic or something. I can’t recall what it had when I bought it.
