I live in charleston sc so we dont really get that cold but my new job is only 3 miles from my house. I let it idle as much as possible to warm up but like yesterday it only hit about 160 degrees after getting to work. Would it be beneficial to put the cover on due to short trips? In 6 weeks I havent had any issues with regen. Just kinda thinking out loud here.

I use one for my 2014 Ecodiesel. I also work about 4 miles to my work place. I’ve started to take the long route which adds about another 3-4 miles on my commute and temperatures get up to about 197-203 degrees. I would definitely get one. What I do when temps get up in the mid 30’s is I roll it up and attach it to the bottom grill. Good luck.

That's what I was looking for. Appreciate it. If it's better for the engine then I might consider it. I cant really extend my trip except to go the wrong way lol
