Hi all,
Update after all this of this time.
RAM agreed to buy back on may 2, 2017. I’m still waiting on them to buy it back 7 months later. We have signed notarized paperwork, terms and everything, and to this day I’m still paying for the truck and insurance, oh and the truck has been in the...
Yes heavy regular towing. More soot. This is a common issue with all modern diesels. My brother in law is in the same boat with a duramax. Delete if you are able and put your anexiaty in the freezer
Been there 6 times, 4 times replacing injectors. Like clockwork every 10K miles.
My model is 2015 as well, and it appears that the emission crap is what’s causing the injectors failure.
My dealer has agreed to buyback, and I am considering another ecodiesel! Call me crazy but I am positive if I...
Yep ... that's the injectors
I highly suggest call green diesel engineering, have their opinion and their tune.
If you must replace the injectors, don't go to the dealer. It will cost a lot cheaper if done elsewhere
As i understand the problem : carbon buildup and soot shoots back into the injectors when the regeneration is interrupted (stop engine while regenerating) causing improper fuel injection, loss of torque and increased fuel consumption... again the RAM tech who explained it to me could be wrong...
Since your warranty expired the best way to fix it is to delete the emission crap.
If you are in a strict emission state then green diesel engineering egr only delete is the way to go.
For now your fuel injectors need replacing
Yep, the ecodiesel hits that sweet spot of the occasional need to haul a camper, Homedepot warrior ... etc... at the same time a daily driver.
I am really disappointed and hoping that RAM works out the kinks , and invest a little more into the DPF system. I'm not completely writing off the...
I'm not delusional. The 2500 has no issues with the DPF, Cummins has that down pretty good.I expect water pump failure around 100K.
I do not need to tow 18K the fuel savings is not that much compared with the ecodiesel.
My ecodiesel went back to the shop 5 times within 1 year, replaced the fuel...
If the first problem occurred at 5K miles then you will qualify for the lemon law after 2 more of the same problem. depends on your state.
I am in PA, Ram agreed to buy back. They will try and settle with a little cash. hold your ground and insist on buy back. I am going with cummins 6.7 a true...
Hello there.
It seems that we are in the same boat. I believe the GDE tune will fix the issue especially if you pick the straight pipe (Off road option).
I bought my truck brand new, and this issue seems to happen every 10K miles or so.
My brother in law owns a GMC Duramax and he countered the...
Update: After replacing fuel injectors at 19K miles, I am now at 29K and the dreadful throttle control message is back on.
It seems that every 10K miles this thing happens.
Truck is back at the shop :(
