I do like the Toyo Open Countrys but since I don't off road and 99% of my driving is towing my 24" travel trailer on paved roads I feel like the Michelin Defenders may be a better choice.
Ok thanks, I'm listening, what do you guys think of Michelin Defender LTX M/S ? I had them on my Cummins and liked them.
The size I'm looking at is LT 265/60R20
They'd be 1/2" shorter than originals at 32 1/2", speed rating R, 3195 LB rating.
TC, I'm a bit slow on the acronyms, EVIC ??
I've been doing a lot of research , I'm considering the General Grabber HTS60 tires, I can stay true to the original size of 275/60R20s
They seem to have real good reviews and bring the rated load from 2600 lbs to 3000LBS per tire, also brings up the maximum air pressure from 44 lbs to 51 lbs...
Right, I will talk to them about it.
So far I haven't found a tire of my size, 275/60R20 that has a higher weight rating, if Toyo has one I didn't see it on their web site.
I guess I'd be changing them to get better quality and not for the weight rating.
I do very little off road and winter...
I ordered a 2018 ecodiesel Outdoorsman and should get it soon, the truck comes stock with the 17" chrome rims and" E " rated tire . I upgraded the rims to 20" to get the black rims but I just realized
that this option downgraded the tires to "P" tire, they didnt't tell me this when I ordered...
Thanks guys, Gossman, I’m guessing that’s towing in substantial hills, glad to hear “it tows like a dream.
I’ll be driving from Ontario to Alaska and back this summer, that will be our first trip with that truck.
I drove a 2001 Cummins for about 12 years, just sold it and ordered a 2018 Ecodiesel but I don't have it yet, I will be using it primarily for towing a 24' travel trailer which tips the scale at 3600 Lbs dry weight, probably about 4500 lbs loaded.
Right now I'm just looking for opinions on...
