Interesting, I bought mine used and its W58, so I guess that means the previous owner got the settlement. No worries on that score, but I am sure glad I was able to get them to do the tone wheel and sensor for mine. I guess I got W68 service because the W58 wasn't ready and I hounded the crap...
I think its a band-aid. Mine broke before the software fix was available and after lots of screaming they replaced the wheel and sensor. I have not had the software flash done yet.
My daily commute is 35 miles each way on interstate so I think its running good. I've never seen notice of a regen, I think the hwy miles are keeping it clean.
I just got notice that the software fix is now available. It doesn't fix your tone wheel, just allows the truck to run instead of completely dying when it goes bad. Dealer says its a 10 minute flash and they are calling it done. So, I consider myself very lucky to have gotten FCA to replace the...
The tale can now be told, the Eco is back in my driveway after 6 weeks. I was able to get FCA to agree to repair it under the recall now with a NOS tone wheel and again , also under the recall , when the new part is available. This was not easy, it took no less than 7 contacts with FCA to get...
Mine is 2015 w 98000 miles. I've only owned it 4 months. Stupid me, traded a perfectly good Silverado for this thing. I knew about the recall, but I read that the defect was only expected to impact 2% of owners. That's me, Mr 2%. As soon as I get it back I'm shopping and preparing to take a very...
Update, several ups and downs, but possible progress. After no less than 4 contacts with FCA customer service, I was able to get them ship my dealer a NOS tone wheel that will be installed in my truck until the recall part is available. The part is here! Then dealer tried to tell me since it was...
Have a 2015 which had defective Tone wheel at 98k miles. Dealer says April at earliest for the part. I used to love this truck, but kill me now please.
This does not give the warm and fuzzy feeling. Mine is down for the same reason and no one in the chain from dealer to FCA supervisor gives a red rats butt.
How many of you have had reluctor wheel failure on an Eco listed in the recall? What was your experience on the repair? Dealer is telling me no parts before April 1 which means mine is off the road 3 1/2 months by then. I think I'm getting screwed, but don't know how to fight it. I've opened...
