I had my '14 Jeep GC in for the recall in July. It went in with the engine light on and came out with the engine light on. Thought the engine light would be taken care of. Dealership texted me stating I need a $145.00 oil and filter change and never said anything about my engine light - so...

Oh, I did and my continuing complaint to the dealer - "Why should I have to go drive my vehicle, just so I can drive my vehicle?" My point is, why would my vehicle have to be doing a regen after I drove it 350 highway miles the day before?

Can the dealer tell the EGR cooler is full by running diagnostics or do they physically have to pull it and look at it? I'm thinking they are just giving me a line of BS since why wouldn't they tell me the first time that it was full of soot when they ran diagnostics instead of having me come...

Yes I clean that as well and it was plugged up. I just cleaned it less than a 1000 miles ago. I can only imagine what the cooler is like.

My EGR diffuser I took out this afternoon. Is it supposed to be like this...... WTF

TC - it looks like you are in the Mpls. metro as am I. Do you have any diesel shops you can recommend that could do this? I don't have time to deal with the cooler, the diffuser and sensor are easy and I'll do that for starters.

Who cleans EGR coolers reasonably or how tough is it to do yourself? One tune shop recommended ultrasonic cleaning. It is running decent right now even though engine light is on. Are you a diesel shop?

Why have you heard Sofaking does not? We've been messaging back and forth for the past hour and I'm getting ready to pull the trigger.

Is one of the three tunes better or do you recommend one? Is there a better video showing how to remove the EGR cooler?
