I have heard that here a few times. But on the other side, people say that an oil that doesn't spell out the ms 12991 would void any warranty protection. Id like to ask the dealer, but Im thinking they would say only their Mopar oil will do (at 13.50/qt).
I have a 2021 ram ecodiesel with 42,000 miles. Runs great. The yellow MIL engine light stayed on yesterday but the truck starts, runs and shifts just fine. Owners manual is vague. Any experience or ideas?
I found the answer in a discussion here. I removed the oil filter, checked the O-rings (all good) re-lubricated them and reinstalled. I made sure the filter was seated then used a socket until I felt resistance, then went another 1/8th or so till it felt tight without really cranking it. Problem...
Hello all, I just changed oil and filter, now I get a low oil pressure message. I used Pennzoil platinum Euro 5w-40 full synthetic. stick reads full, about 50 miles on oil change, 42,000 on a 2021 eco-diesel. Any thoughts?
About 40,000. I use an antigel additive. no mods, runs great. Spent 2 weeks touring northeast this spring averaged 28 mpg. Just sips the DEF, probably 4000-5000 mpg.
