PPE Transmission Pan New Never installed

I bought it to modify to work on my Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel yes. But I didn't do anything to it and since then PPE has come out with a transmission pan specifically for the Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel. So this is a brand new pan and it's set up to fit the ram 1500 EcoDiesel transmission

    Oil Change intervals

If I had gone through the nightmare that some of you have had I am not sure that I would still have an EcoDiesel.

    Oil Change intervals

On my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel it started out with 5 - 30 oil then the FCA requirement came out to go to 5:40 oil. I have a friend who is a lubrication specialist and we decided to try the 15- 40 oil with the same additives that the 5 - 40 had and have been extremely happy with...

    Oil Change intervals

Fennske, if you told your dealer you are towing he is going to categorize that as severe duty and will cut your oil change interval in half. If this is the first oil change and the engine has a special break in oil it is often at a lesser interval than normal. It doesn't say anything in the...

    Dielectric grease

I also have used DG for decades. Learned about it first in the USN doing maintenance on sea water piping system. We used it on the O rings as a lubricant. To much caused problems so you learned a little bit goes a long way. Cost me an extra 12 hrs on a job re-tearing the piping flanges apart and...

    Dealer trans flush!

Glad you had a great installation. The dealer network for cars definitely has its shortcomings and over charging is one of them. I just bought a new 5th wheel camper and had it down to two dealerships. The one closest to me wanted $900 labor to install the 5th wheel hitch. Said it was 6 hrs...

    Banks intake manifold install?

Matthias, I have the Banks manifold and throttle delete in my garage and would appreciate any pics, vidios, and other pearls of wisdom you have gleaned from your installation. Also did you replace your hi pressure fuel lines of just check the mating surfaces for galling and replace? Did you do...

    Duralast Fule Filter from autozone

At $28/ea it is to expensive for me. I go to Rock Auto and buy the PREMIUM GUARD DF99120 for $12.61 for two. I know the old saying you get what you pay for but that is not always true. It wouldn't let me link to Rock Auto.

    Dealer vs. Private Mechanic/Service

I don't want to be to negative but, and I am sure there are some great FCA Dealerships, if I had to strictly rely on the FCA dealer network for my service I would not own one of their products

    TRANSMISSION PAN/FILTER REPLACE

If you didn't read BoostN's attachment it kinda goes like this. Truck/Car level start motor ensure trans fluid temp between 86*F and 122*F rev motor to 2000 rpm to fill torque converter Go to idle run trans through all the gears for 10 sec each gear Make sure temp between 86 - 122 If high turn...

Any one tried using Pela Oil Extractor for oil changes?

I use an extractor system on all my vehicles. Especially great for getting the extra oil out in the oil filter casing. I have used Fumoto valves for a while before I learned about and starting using and extractor system. If you are not familiar with extractor systems here is a link to check...
