So I changed my oil yesterday I only did 7000 miles since the oil was changed last time my first oil change and the oil cane out super black. Is that normal in a diesel truck? My truck has about 70k miles

Ok thanks... one more question what’s your take on transmission oil ? The dealer says it should lest the entire life of the truck but when I read about the manufacture that produces the transmissions it’s recomended at 70k to change the oil
