It sucks. I currently have a ticking time bomb with my 2015 and the high failure CP4 fuel pump just waiting to grenade and total the truck. Open recall on it with no plan or repair in sight from Dodge/Ram/Stelantis.
The crank trigger and sensor are behind the flywheel on the back of the block. You can see the signal on a scanner that simulates an oscilloscope showing sensor function.
Has the vehicle had the emissions/ECM reflash been done? Chances are it it the CPS (crank position sensor) failed. Mine has gone bad twice (pre and post reflash) furst time it totally died, 2nd time it continued to run but took forever to restart as it would extrapolate the crankshaft...
I just had my intake replaced at 96k that was full of soot and tar, took 7 weeks because they couldn't get a replacement set of fuel lines rhat are apparently not reusable.
