    2016Eco engine failure 46k

    Get the extended warranty. My 2014 Eco diesel died on June 10, 2020 at 56,600 mi. I was past the warranty time not mileage. Cost me $14,500.00. The new engine runs great but I will most likely not keep it past the 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. Once bit- twice shy!

    Thanks for the feedback everybody. $14,550.00 for a new engine and torque converter including parts, labor, and taxes. Also had to absorb the cost of rental truck and towing to the tune of $600+. Thank you AAA. Could have been much worse! The new engine comes with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty...

    My 2014 3.0L ecodiesel self destructed on June 24th, 2020. The engine seized and also took out the torque converter. My truck is currently at the ram dealership for repairs. Needs to have the engine and torque converter replaced. Only 56,700 miles on the truck but have owned it for 5 years and...
