Hi John. How it works.... when your truck goes into a Ram dealer, you use the scan tool they send you to reinstall the factory tune. After you get the truck back, reinstall the GDE tune. They never know it was in their. They walked me through the procedure and easy peasy.
Hey John. I had mine in to the dealer for the egr cooler recall. They flashed mine and fuel economy went for a crap and it was a dog. I bought the Green Diesel Engineering tune which is EPA compliant and that restored the power and economy.
Further to my previous post. I had an EGR recall and the dealer screwed my ecm to bad fuel economy and lack of power. I bought the Green Diesel Engineering tune. That restored the economy and power. 2020 ecodiesel shouldnt have that problem.
I have 2015 Ecodiesel. 180,000 miles on it. One NOx sensor and brakes. Rustproof it every year and change oil way before the warning. I change mine at 40% left. Use Mopar fuel filters and don't drive city only. They run great. 30 grand is a good price.
I just got an appointment for my 2015. Waited 2 years. I called the corporation. They said to keep driving it and if it fails they'll cover the cleaning of the fuel system and any residual damage.
