What did you trade for your EcoDiesel?

It was presented to me as capable to haul 3/4 ton, sold as a 3/4 ton and could and did, haul in the bed 3/4 ton on occasion close to 1 ton, she was also rated to pull 5,000 lbs. Now it's weakness where the front end, two sets of ball joints and tie rod ends in under 90,000 miles, plus it loved...

What did you trade for your EcoDiesel?

Mine was a Burgundy SLT, looked high and low to find it, located it at a local dealer in town much to my surprise. Regularly carried 1" and 2" river rock in the back and pulled a 5,000 lb camper with her.

    shutters & DIY winter front

I contacted FCA and was told my truck did not qualify as it DID NOT have a block heater. My response was it is sitting in my driveway plugged in so how is it possible I don't have a block heater but it is plugged in? Basically told I didn't know what I was talking about. I contacted my dealer...

    shutters & DIY winter front

No the covers don't always come with the truck, mine didn't and I was told it doesn't qualify as it doesn't have a factory block heater. I stated yes it does all EcoDiesels come with a block heater and I have power cord installed to prove it. Basically told I was a lair. Don't bother trying to...

RECALL R51 - FCA Recommends a Winter Front Cover for Colder Climates with EcoDiesels

I was on the Ram owners web site, opened a chat window, asked if I qualify for a winter front. I was told my truck DID NOT have a block heater so I didn't qualify. I replied back my truck is sitting in the driveway PLUGGED IN! You know I would have bought I didn't qualify because of where I...

    Time to start pullin'!

Sway bar attachment, goes from the trailer frame to the hitch and helps with the swaying. I use one and I'm pulling a 24' 5,000 lbs trailer. Works great.

    Turn Knob gear selector

Take's a bit to get used too, I wasn't sure if I would get used to it and like it but I have. Like previously stated all modern auto's now shift electronically just matter of how it is presented to the driver. For me it was getting used to which way to twist the knob and not to shift it unless...

    Debadge a EcoDiesel

My initials are BB, so I am The B 2 B! One more thing about using the heat gun/pliers method you are more than likely going to ruin the items you are pulling off, they are after all made of plastic.

    Debadge a EcoDiesel

Did a partial debadge on my ecodiesel, removed the 1500 then blacked out the RAM and the chrome ring around the EcoDiesel. I personally would not use fishing line, too worried I will scratch the finish. Instead my method was to heat the 1500 with a heat gun, using a flat tipped thin pliers grab...

    Remote App for starting truck

I too was having problems with the UConnect app but when I tried jdn112011 suggestion and turned off WiFi it works, does take a few minutes for the command to be received by the truck.

I traded in a 2002 Dakota, 3/4 ton, 4X4 with 4.7, auto, 3.55 rear with solid 17 MPG hwy and 12 in town. Really liked my Dakota, it was my first truck\love. My three girls growing up with the truck, teaching my daughter(s) how to drive, first Goldy, and a wife. Helping friends, family, neighbors...

Payload capacity for air ride ecodiesel 1500

I can't tell any difference and I'm pulling a 5,000 lb camper. One thing I have found to unhook the camper I raise the camper up couple inch's then lower the truck to pop it off the ball. My experience as I keep raising the camper the rear of the truck comes up with it, but I always unhook with...

    Check Engine Light

Hi all!!! Been absent for some time, but I did get this solved. Turned out to be a loose connection on the sensor, covered by warranty and got the UConnect software updated also.

    Check Engine Light

Just purchased a slightly used 2014 with 19,000 miles. I have noticed that if the truck is running and the doors are opened or is started with the doors open the check engine light comes on. The only way to cancel the light is to close the doors, make sure everybody has their seat belts on and...

    New Used Owner

just purchased my EcoDiesel, a used 2014 with 19,000 miles, it's the Outdoorsmen model with most of the bells and whistle's. So far I'm happy with my purchase but I do have couple of concerns. Pulls slightly to the left and check engine light pops off and on at times. The truck is jet black and...
