I have 2022 Ram ecodiesel. When cruising at 1200 rpm 60 mph oil temp is 218 which I think is fine. But my oil pressure is at 27. Is that normal. Idle pressure is 19. I am in Fla. Outside temp is 75. Would like to know if anyone else is having this typos presure

Good news/Bad news kind of answer here. This engine has an off/on switch for oil pressure, once oil pressure exceeds 12 psi the ECM/PCM says all is good. The pressure you see on your dash gauge and the Vehicle Data Center is a computer algorithm estimating what the oil pressure should be at a given engine temp./RPM/Throttle position, no correlation with reality. I seem to remember a couple of threads here that detail how to get an aftermarket direct oil pressure gauge set up on your vehicle. Much better arrangement.

Good Luck.

Thank You for the response. Knowing that it’s not a actual oil pressure reading, I am still curious at what other people psi is showing on there truck. With the factory gauge.

The Factory Gage is L-O-M they all will say the same PSI that program algorithm after 8/12 PSI.
