A cheap Samsung or android based tablet and 30$ elm 327 adapter, and 50$ alfaobd app is dealer grade software. You’ll need a security gateway bypass cable for your vehicle also. Unless you get an autel with fca capability then it’s 50$ a year to avoid bypassing the security gateway module

First off, thank you for the response. Woh! Ok, so will the elm and the app be able to delete/reset codes like the 200 mile warning? Is there anything that can? That code comes and goes. I am learning how to clean sensors amd def injector too. I just want to make my truck last. I have 80k on it now and have all of the recall stuff up to date.

If you work it correctly it should be able to do nearly everything the dealer can do. It’s a very powerful setup for a fraction of the cost. I have cleared codes with it. The main hang up you’re going to have is the security gateway module crap. But that is typically an easy work around.
If your main goal is to make it last, I, and a majority of members would agree, deleting tends to result the best life for these engines.

Yes, that is something I may be able to do. I say "may" because I am in California. I really appreciate all input, so please feel free to offer up ideas, tips, tricks, anything else that would be helpful.
My truck is 2018 EcoDiesel Laramie.
