My 2014 Ecodiesel giving me yet another headache. Last week jumped in to go to work. Turned the key, everything powered up like normal. Went to start and made 3 clicks like the battery was low. Tried again and it made a single louder pop sound. Made the same noise about 6 weeks ago when the starter went out. Tried a 3rd time and nothing. Changed the starter 2x now, new battery. Swapped every fuse and relay under the hood I could find related to start or ignition with my other Ecodiesel and still nothing. My other one started with every switch. Rebuilt the engine about 2000 miles ago. Fully deleted and tuned. Had self mechanical issues when I rebuilt it and had another ECU installed. I've even put the original ECU back in and still turn the key everything powers up like it should and turn to start and nothing during the start cycle. After is cycles says service 4wd. Even took the ignition key box out and plugged it into my other truck and that one started with it. Am I missing something?

Did you try barring the engine over to make sure it isn't seized? Even the best of us get an oddity like that every so often. I built an engine a couple years back that literally seized 3 seconds after I fired it up - pressure was fine, everything was fine. Turns out my machine shop had something off on the rod journals which cost *them* dearly to replace.

This is also a bit out in left field, but since you had the Service 4WD .. have you tried the manual "neutral" lever behind the left "shin" plate to see if maybe something is binding up the engine in the drivetrain?

I did check for rotation when I took the starter out and turned with a small screwdriver. Onto last resort now. I have a new TIPM coming. I know when they often fail, the sky's pretty much the limit for what they can make go wrong. Place out of Florida sells plug and play rebuilt ones with 2 yr warranty less than 400$
