Been lots of calls regarding the FCA recall. Email works better or here if you prefer. GDE has a 10% military discount.

You might want to call Green Diesel Engineering if wanting to better understand how tuning will affect the powertrain. We have much more experience on these engines than anyone else out there.

The engine brake must be calibrated properly. Do not exceed Garrett's backpressure spec for the turbo and do not exceed the limit for valve float. The head gasket is a different issue as the cylinder pressure would have to be very high for that to fail. CP is low during engine braking as no...

What model year is your truck? Sounds like a software PPEI has not seen before. Dangerous game making random changes on ecms.

The vanes on the turbocharger are closing to increase pumping losses. Same as Ford Powerstroke or GM Duramax. This is very common on diesel engines, FCA made a mistake by not incorporating it from factory.

We have tested the OBD solution(s) extensively and already know it works fine on all model year and on all the current available software versions. For a few different reasons at this time we're sticking with the bench flash approach, also considering that in any given model year a customer...

Most likely a couple months after the FCA/EPA settlement. New engine software and trans software is being released and it will take some time to figure it out. Using an OBD tool before that is pointless as the new software will render the tool useless. You could also email us at...

Manually downshift to activate it. Needs rpm above 2000 and foot off pedal. More braking effect the closer you are to 4000 rpm.

If you know the fault code (Pxxxx), you can email Green Diesel Engineering we will help isolate the problem and offer solutions. [email protected]

Most folks don't write a review, but we have over 700 trucks successfully running our trans tune. It works very well on this application and can be customized if needed.

Ohm out the glow plug, should be 0.7-1.2 ohms. Also ohm out with glow harness to make sure wiring is correct.

What you want to do has not been done before. The stock turbo with added second turbo is at 450hp, 700ftlb. If you add in the Green Diesel single turbo with the compound, it should be able to reach 500 hp on stock fuel system...for a while. It is a big investment and would recommend starting...

We will be happy to tune a compound for you. There are two compound kits on the market now that GDE tunes.

The EcoDiesel vehicles have both - ECM is under the hood, TCM is inside the transmission. Our tunes for both remedy this issue, you're in 8th gear generally from 53mph at worst depending on vehicle config. 8th gear to your heart's content.

FYI, The Green Diesel Engineering tune will boost fuel economy 3-5 mpg over your current results. Very nice if planning to keep the truck long term.

We only had 3 customers running GDE tunes with failed bearings, all got new engines under warranty. The failure rate seems to be less with the GDE tune, but tuning in general is not the issue with the bearings failing. That is a design flaw in the stack-up tolerances or an assembly issue at...

The regen message will notify you of any active regen via the cluster. Factory typically regens behind the scenes and only notifies you if the filter is 80,90, or 100% plugged. This is a good feature for folks doing a lot of city driving. The high idle cuts the engine warmup time in half vs...
