it doesn't cover the main bearings or tranny. I wouldn't worry about the tranny but the engine I would. I know where Patrity is coming from and if this was a hemi I would blow off the warranty. But, its an eco so I would not - spend the 85 bucks.

man, it sux to own a truck that can get killed by some dust. Must have been one whale of a hole in that air filter. This dealer you have makes me worry for the future of humanity or something. wow, just wow.

It all depends on what you paid. Ram trucks typically sell at a large discount, usually 25 to 30% off sticker. As a result, they depreciate 40% from sticker price when you drive off the lot. So if your sticker was 60k, that would mean your trade is now worth 36k towards a new truck. If you...

The pro is $3,077.00 and the extended warranty. The con, in your case, is having to swap out your ECM with GDE and pay the shipping plus $50.00 to get it back to how it was. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

"My truck leaks about a quart of coolant INTERNALLY a month" (dealer says) "coolant leaking at that rate is a normal operating condition" Ha ha! I think the EGR cooler is leaking too. Remove the EGR diffuser tube and see if it is all sticky / sloppy. If it is, use a flashlight to look into...

All Ram warranties transfer except for the 5 year / lifetime warranty. All stated years / miles warranties transfer without having to do transfer paperwork. Here for example is their statement on their 5 yr / 100k mile warranty: What is different from your Lifetime Powertrain Limited...

We have been deep into that issue lately. Seems like the best approach is to start with the glow plug module and leave those individual plugs alone as long as possible.

I would get to the bottom of the turbo code before I did anything else. The service electronic throttle is quick to fix by cleaning the MAP sensor. You have warranty coverage on the turbo with the extended warranty so wait to tune it until that is cleared up on Ram's dime.

I think then, that the new software just makes it very slow until the truck gets hot. I would look at one of the two major engine tunes. They both eliminate turbo lag along with many other benefits.

I would skip the full delete and get the www.sofakingtuned.com engine and trans tune. It should make you happy. Do the full delete when the warranty is gone, if you still want it.

Others have mentioned it. I would ask them to draw out 6 ounces of fuel so it can be sent to a lab for analysis. Then, since it is the ETC error, follow the procedure in the video below. You can do this yourself or have the dealership do it for under 100 dollars. It should fix the ETC error...

No automaker is going to cover a fire that burns the truck down until the insurance company sues them. No not one. Recommend the rest of you remove those foam sound insulator pads from the top of your engines & inspect your engine periodically for injector leaks.

Did you clean the MAP sensor though?

10.75 quarts of low cost dino oil won't do the engine a whole lot of good. But as TC Diesel will tell you, if not any other engine builder, that may cause excess engine wear but not main bearing failure. There is a significant fault in the assembly of some 7 to 9% of eco engines. It is my...

Keep your MAP sensor clean too

Take out the MAP sensor and EGR diffuser tube and clean them. Then report back and tell us if it worked. I think it might. Thanks!

you can call the number and they will talk with you. The hold time is not terribly long.

I have a few things for sale. The first one is sooo frustrating. I had hoped my Revolver X2 tonneau cover would fit my new truck. But, Ram narrowed the bed rails. So this, my favorite cover ever, is for sale. It fits a 2008 to 2018 or 2019 classic Ram 1500 with the 6'4" bed. It is new...

maybe Sofakingtuned because turning off the EGR valve is optional. You want to turn off the EGR. Once tuned though, i understand you will still pass California emissions

You should be good. Clean that MAP sensor and EGR tube like the dealer did every 3 months or when you do an oil change. The MAP sensor is not all that sensitive to filth on it, but being essentially a barometer it needs to be able to sense atmospheric pressure. It can't do that if it is under...
