Would suggest getting a scangauge . What you are seeing is actually passive regen but it is showing on display because dpf is 80% full and if you don't drive highway For 20 miles it will fill up then its dealer time. I would suggest getting on max mileage asap to avoid this.
How are you making out with max mileage? My stock 18 ED is still running like a top. Anyone know if dealer will give me a new egr cooler if someone else installs it? Was thinking of taking it to a diesel shop and having them install it. Would have them clean intake and egr valve and replace...
I have used max mileage in my ED for over 12000 miles (currently at about 31000 miles. Bought used at about 18000) Saw regen frequency almost double(from 150 mi. to almost 300 mi. between passive regens on completely stock 2018 ED. I use a scangauge 2 to monitor regens.
I have a stock /18 ED with 42000 km. I am averaging 220 mi. between regens according to Scangauge. Have been using Max mileage fuel catalyst for about 5000km. Bought truck last July with about 32000km. on it.
According to customer service at Scangauge unit will clear codes without bypass. Love unit so far. Watched it doing a regen on the way to work this morning (y)
I have gleaned all sorts of good info so far. Just hoping I have one of the good ones! Everything I hear about the Max mileage I think it will help. Looking forward to hearing anyone else's experience with this product.
Bought in July with 32000 km. Impressed with mileage so far about 32 Canadian. I know we use litres per 100 km now but I am old school. Adding Max Mileage fuel catalyst to fuel tomorrow. At about 37000 km now. Catalyst is supposed burn soot so I am hoping it will clean up oil and make ED last 🤞
