    Our 2016 Ram with its new ecodiesel was picked up today. The paper work from the service head said our problems were from “flushing the engine with EGR cleaner”. OMG no fluid was put in the motor!! The lower cylinders had a damp soot, what could cause that?

    I guess the best bet would be a Cummins. Very disappointing we’ve taken good care of that engine. Sounds like a so sad from dodge, buy a new one

    We cleaned the end of the EGR cooler with brake cleaner. I thought all the solvent was out of the tube. It ran great for a few miles then died. The soot and carbon appeared ‘wet’ around two or three of the intake valves. ??

    Watching videos on cleaning our 1500 ecodiesel EGR cooler - ours was a lot cleaner than the pictures, we decided to clean ours. We very carefully removed & cleaned all necessary parts with the recommended brake cleaner. All parts were cleaned & wiped carefully. UNFORTUNATELY nowhere were told...
