What size is the bolt? Just had my DEF pump replaced - was within the years for the extended warranty but 11K over mileage. $1400 to install new DEF pump. One week after install, check engine light comes on and "Service DEF System - 43 miles before engine doesn't start - see dealer" warning...
here is what I've found out; since new engine was installed at 77,000 miles, warranty was only good for 23,000 miles (100,000 miles on OD)
If I install a new engine now, warranty is 3yrs/100,000 miles: (see attached snip)
Stopped to refuel today and truck wouldn't start after refueling. 139604 miles on truck; 62000 on new engine. Engine was replaced in September 2017. After cranking low oil pressure light came on and then the ETC light. Truck at dealership now waiting to be inspected. Pisses me right the f*** off!
Fueled truck today, and it will not restart. Scheduled for recall on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. Electronic throttle control and low oil pressure indicator. 139604 on truck 62,000 on engine (replaced 10/2017).
The warrenty was to 100,000. Currently 112000 on truck, 35,000 on new engine. I've used Schaeffer 9000 5w40 full synthetic diesel oil in since engine was installed. I've also only used #1 diesel fuel to. Keeping fingers crossed that this thing lasts. Bought it with the intent to put 300k on...
First off, if this is a warrantied vehicle, part of the warranty is a loaner.
Sounds very similar to mine. First a turbo sensor was replaced, then the turbo, then injectors on several occasions, finally the entire engine about 6,000 miles ago...all under warranty. The new engine has a 3 year...
I don't think they have a clue just what is going on. I have a 2014 with 83,000 miles. They replaced the complete engine 5,000 miles ago after the same situation you discribed above happened eight times from July 2016 thru May 2017. Prior to that, they had replaced the turbo sendor, the complete...
Bought a 2014 with 50K miles on it and ETC light came on in July of last year. Since then it has come on eight more times. Had a new sensor installed at a cost of $220 the first time. New turbo (under certified warranty) 2nd time. Now they are just throwing parts at it. Service tech told me that...
My ETC has come on now seven times in the last 11 months. Second time Chrysler got involved and replaced the turbo at a cost of 5k under warranty. Now they really aren't sure what is going on. When it happens, it is happenning after I've driven for a while (30+minutes) stop, and get back in...
And, one more thing. When you bring it to the dealer make sure the have their best tech on it, I believe Chrysler call's them a class 3 tech. You DO NOT want a rookie working on this problem.
Call 18002479753 and get an engineer from chrysler involved. Once that happened things really moved fast. They will open a case for you and track the trucks problems.
Chrysler replaced the turboo in August. Since then the ETC came on twice and the second time they found a pin hole in the hose going to the turbo. That was November...So far so good.
I have a 2014 Eco with 65500 miles on it. I purchased the truck this past May on mothers day - Certified. In July the service electronic throttle control light came on along with the check engine light. The dealer replaced the sensor at a cost to me of $220; two weeks later the light came on...
