Turbo water coolant feed tube failure

Longshot so what does it cost to do an egr delete etc? I'm way out of warranty and already have a GDE tune which needs to be updated actually. That is the last thing the dealer told me before they gave me the oil leak was that my ECM was causing CEL so thinking if I get ECM update for $50 maybe...

Turbo water coolant feed tube failure

Oh man that sucks. Either one is not good. I asked dealer if they could replace my coolant hose with stainless steel or some sort of upgrade and they claimed that they had to use mopar replacement part. I guess this way it will be covered under warranty. This whole process has made me hesitant...

Turbo water coolant feed tube failure

They did actually pressure test coolant system overnight and said it was good. However they didn't check for oil leaks apparently and if they did undo that banjo bolt on oil supply line then they just reused old crush washers and called it good. That is my suspicion but I can't prove it unless...

Turbo water coolant feed tube failure

Ok. So looking at part numbers the mechanic installed (6) 4720704 Sealing Washers when replacing the turbo water feed hose, and he installed (2) 68229382AA banjo washers when he replaced the crush washers on turbo oil supply tube. When I type these two different part numbers into the computer...

Turbo water coolant feed tube failure

Hi all. So I had this same problem 1 week after I had the dealer flush my coolant system due to oil contamination from failed oil cooler. I replaced cooler flushed several times as best as I could and kept getting cel for 3-way coolant valve. Finally replaced valve also but still got cel so took...

    ecodiesel oil in coolant

Mine was about $130. Got it from Cevans on this forum. A bargain compared to the plastic 3-way coolant valve that was $180

    ecodiesel oil in coolant

Corry thanks so much for the cleaning tips. I have had my truck into the dealer recently to try and get the CEL light off which originally came on back in September and led me right to the oil cooler. So replaced it and finally replaced 3-way coolant valve also which is what code was...

    ecodiesel oil in coolant

Wow! How did you get that so clean? Maybe I need to get my reservoir into my utility sink and use hot water with the degreaser eh?

    Oil in coolant.

So I took truck last Thursday and had my mechanic swap out cooler/filter unit and then he put some macs radiator flush fluid in and after I drove home I flushed/drained it out. Ended up spending all day Friday pulling upper, lower radiator hoses and bypass valve out cleaned all hoses and tank...

    Oil in coolant.

Ok so I took truck to dealer yesterday and told them my oil cooler was suspect. As I figured they called me 4 hours later and told me that yes it was the oil cooler and they want about $200 for cooler and $500 to install/ flush and refill system. That's no new tank but does include the already...

    Oil in coolant.

Just curious if I should stop driving truck also? I have a motorcycle to get to work but we've been getting our first week of rain and I'm on the fence as to which to do. I have really no idea how long the oil has gotten into coolant but it has a thicker pasty consistency, not just a slick on...

    Oil in coolant.

Whoa, that is way cheaper than the aftermarket air cooler I was looking at for $700. I did make an appointment for a diagnostic on my truck next week. They said an hour flat rate regardless of how long it takes. I feel like a guinea pig though because service department guy again said they knew...

    Oil in coolant.

Ok. I was going to stop at dealer this morning and try to get an estimate for cooler. Do you have one recommended? Or has OEM one been upgraded? Any ideas on cost? Just parts even? My dealer is fairly small here in the northwest and last time I stopped there to ask them about possibly changing...

    Oil in coolant.

Sorry I know this post is old but I'm a newb to the forum and ED. I purchased a used 2014 laramie longhorn in April with 149,000 miles and a GDE tune that has been in since 132,000 miles. Just got a cel and when checked it was the coolant bypass valve stuck code. Upon lifting hood noticed the...

    Oil in coolant

I have a 2014 Laramie Longhorn just purchased used in April. Has 150,000 miles and previous owner had green diesel tune put in around 132k. Has been running great, just last week got a CEL and parts store checked, it is the engine coolant bypass valve code. Just looking at outside of overflow...
