Good for you and the trans tune really shines when towing. I made 23 mpg when pulling my 17' Lund deep V. My new hemi gets around 15 mpg towing. The engine braking was a cool feature too.

The installation of the tone wheel is not covered. The software update was all that was included in W58. If mine goes out and I'm stranded, I will have to pay for cost of repairs. That's why I'm looking to replace it proactively.
The part information is below:
Description:RELUCTOR WHEEL. Crankshaft.

Price:$25.95
I have no idea if it is upgraded or the original design. I had a heck of a time getting it as after I ordered it they ran out of stock and it took an additional 4 weeks to...
All,
I purchased a MOPAR replacement reluctor/tone wheel ($25). I called the dealership I bought my ED from for an estimate to replace it as a preventive measure. With required bolts kit and labor they quoted me $1,150.
I asked the service manager if FIAT is doing anything to subsidize...
I actually traded my '14 F250 crew with the 7.3 gasser for my ED. I just couldn't stand to look at the 12-13mpg staring back at me on the dash. However, mileage aside, I absolutely loved my super duty. Cast iron block push rod v8 that was bullet proof. The ED not so much. I will be posting...
I'm interested to hear if anybody has proactively had the reluctor/tone wheel replaced on their ED before it failed, and if so, how much the labor cost? I bought a new ring from MOPAR for $25 already.
Please advise...
Thanks guys, the weird thing is that it goes in spells. Works fine for weeks and then for 3 or 4 days I have this intermittent BS that goes on... I also have a "phone needs service' screen that comes up on the touchscreen every day and every couple hours on long trips. Dealer said nothing was...
I have non-compliant GDE tune, and mine does not regen that frequently. At 400 miles per cycle, that would be a regen for every tank of fuel assuming approx. 600 mile range. I'm guessing mine is closer to 900-1000 miles or conservatively every other or every third tank.
Hi Steve, if you contact GDE you may still be able to buy their $50 EPA compliant update and flash your ECU. Obviously this does not turn off the bad stuff that the non-compliant tune addressed, but it is a cheap option to get some performance improvement while you're working on a more...
Has anybody had issues with their cruise control on/off button? Recently mine has been very flaky, not working at all and then randomly letting me turn it on after driving for some time. Thoughts?
Thank you sir! My Laramie has a gloss clear coat, so I will definitely see what the options are. I don't like mixing gloss/matte black. Looks like primer!
All- I ordered a new reluctor wheel over a week ago to have on hand in case the factory model delaminated and lost magnetic material. I got the following email today:
Your order has been updated as follows:
Hello, thank you for placing your order with us. At this time your order has been...
The non-compliant GDE tunes electronically disable the EGR. These were available before April 2020 or so. If you had a non-compliant GDE tune and then had the W58 completed and bought the $50 update from GDE and reflashed your ECU, you now have the compliant version that does not disable the...
