    Well...it happened

A mechanic friend of mine talked about the new Dmax diesel and mentioned the timing belt was at the back of the motor and the trans has to be moved back when replacing the belt. It also is liquid cooled by the engine oil. Don't quote me on liquid cooling, forgot the term he used. This was couple...

How many miles on your ecodiesel and have you had any problems?

I have a '18 Laramie CC 4x4 with the longer box with 8,900 miles. Had dead pedal fix in Cali, an update was done. Timing cover leak re-sealed, sun roof adjusted, another update, truck sat at the dealer over a month waiting on parts! Extended warranty put me in a brand new Jeep Cherokee with the...

    Egr parts available

I don't think there is that many EcoDiesel's running around the Wasilla or Palmer areas, could be wrong. Now that I think about it, the dealer has an Anchorage store, it may be a much longer wait. At least I now know I wasn't being fed BS about older trucks first. Thank you fellas, Casey

    Egr parts available

I originally opened a case with Ram on this recall for my '18. Also filed complaint at NHTSA #11319724. Few days later a lady called with my case number, again said no parts. I mentioned others were getting their trucks repaired, so parts were in fact available. She came back on line and asked...

Service Electronic Throttle Control: Anyone else dealing with this issue

Since my truck is new & I did get extended warranty that covers this emissions headaches, have to stay stock for now. This local dealership wasn't able to duplicate the sticky throttle issue, to their credit they did keep mine overnight trying to get it to throw a code. The update did make the...

Service Electronic Throttle Control: Anyone else dealing with this issue

I was in the mountains and the truck felt like it was losing power & gave it more pedal, when the throttle hung up. It wouldn't decelerate when I lifted my foot, so I stabbed the pedal thinking it hung up, only increased the power/speed. I turned cruise off with no difference, finally stood on...

    2018 question

Does the '18 model have a exhaust brake? I thought I heard the 2018's are using the turbo to create back pressure. The way mine drives I'm guessing no.

    New '18 owner

Wanted to say hi, I'm new to the forum, not new to Ram Cummins. I bought a new '18 Laramie CC 4x4 in late February and have under 2K miles. I'm on vacation in Cali for another month or 2 and will head back to Alaska.

    Losing fuel economy

I bought a new Laramie CC 4x4 from Kellogg Idaho end of Feb, drove to Cali keeping up with traffic 65-80 mph and pulled down 20-22 mpg. City mileage is 16-17 mpg. With under 2K miles I expect to see small increase. Once I drive home to Alaska, going to sell it and keep driving my '03 3500...
