The truck was temporarily fixed by installing an old design EGR cooler after 50 days. The dealer originally told me it was the new part but they were wrong.
To date, I have spoken with 8 people at FCA, all of them deny any knowledge of there being a buyback option in the settlement. Even after...
If your truck has spent more than 30 days at the dealer sue to one of the items that is covered by the AEM extended warranty, you qualify for a buyback from FCA. Have you considered going that route?
Yes you can opt out and there are apparently many who have. Some have joined another law suite which is trying to get a bigger settlement and general buyback. From all I've read, the problems with these trucks is real and EGR leaks and associated problems will happen regardless of if you have...
You need to have the AEM flash done at your dealer to get the settlement check. You can submit the paperwork before or after you get that done. Once that's done, you will be covered by the extended warranty for the covered parts.

If the truck sits at dealer for longer than 30 days, it qualifies for a buyback at NADA clean retail value. That is all spelled out in the settlement for items covered in the extended warranty.

Last week, my ‘15 had the engine is overheating alarm go off (temp gauge showed normal). I was able to add water and made it the 4 miles to a Ram dealer. I am now versed on the EGR cooler leak and failure. I had the AEM done a few months ago and am aware that the warranty states that if the...
