I didn’t have to replace mine, if you spray it with something like AeroKroil or WD 40 shouldn’t have an issue unless you live close to the coast I would think.
No transmission tune required to do the delete, however I highly recommend the sofa king tune turns the truck into an entirely different animal. And if you tow anything with any amount of weight you will want it.
I fought those exact bolts and almost stripped two of the three coming out. I’m not sure why but I felt like there was some reason why the block off was back there but I honestly can’t remember. Use Kroil or WD on those bolts make life a lot easier.
I got lucky when I did mine apparently my truck had the cooler replaced before and the T40 bolt was not reinstalled. There are a couple of posts on here about getting it out but really it’s a pain no matter how you do it. Hopefully someone else can give you some help!
I meant to put in that post that that what was on the truck display. I did not hand calculate it out so yea I agree those are probably pretty high numbers but I can tell you I am getting around 450 miles or so to a tank and that is a lot of mixed driving as well.
I’ve put about the same on mine since tuned and deleted and I’m loving it!! It’s getting 35s put on it in the morning!!! And just on another note I am averaging about 27.5 mpg everyday and with a couple thousand pound boat and gear about 22.5. I don’t know of many trucks that can do that. I know...
I looked on SFT website he isn’t listing anything for the 2020 you can try and look on HD Diesel supply and see if they have anything I haven’t heard on seen anyone on here Tuning the new Eco’s. But I’m sure it will become available at some point I would think.
Man that stock intake looks horrible!!! Where did you find the banks manifold I’m looking around on their website and can’t seem to find it. Also about how many miles did you have on your truck. I’m at 107k and I just did the delete.
I have also looked at doing the throttle body or butterfly delete. I have the SFT stage 2 delete as well. Curious to what you figured out or what SFT told you before I do this.
In my opinion I would delete the truck as soon as possible... but understand this will most likely void parts of not all of your warranty. I took this same route choose to delete over keeping warranty. I am in the early days of having it deleted and I’m telling it’s the best money I have spent...
Question for those that have done the delete... the several sensors that were plugged into the factory exhaust did y’all just zip tie them up out of the way. That’s what I did no issues just curious what everyone did.
Have a EGR cooler off of a 2015 Ram Eco. It is not leaking I just did the stage 2 delete. You can search my name on the forum I have been working on getting all the pieces to do the delete for a couple months. It is not the original, truck had the cooler replaced before I got it. Shoot me an...
Alrite guys finally got the tuners in the mail last week. I did the stage 2 delete didn’t really have any issues. I did find out that apparently my truck has already had the egr cooler replaced because the pain in the a$@ T40 bolt was already removed and another one of the brackets were not in...
So I have heard Eco’s that took literally everything out mufflers and all, just straight pipe to the tips and I was actually kind of impressed with the nice sound it had. So that was my plan with mine. If I can ever get my handheld.
