I simply unplugged the EGR, I believe it was a red plug next to the temperature senor (blue). I didn't mess with the vacuum line that goes to the actuator, cuz i felt that unplugging the EGR would simply turn everything off.
I am only reporting my results and applying general principles (since this is mechanical in nature). If valve is closed, in principle gases should never be sorted to the egr (although I am sure there is some breakthough gas exhaust. I can check the diffuser tube at 1K to see the soot)

EGR delete is fairly straight forward. I did my 2015. The most difficult part is a T40 bolt that faces the firewall. It is nearly impossible to get leverage on it to get it to turn. The Silverlining is that the T40 contects to a brace that can be cut off. The brace isn't needed for anything...
Well, I'll have to keep my fingers crossed. Hopefully, it can be attributed to one of those items. I just hope the dealer doesn't try to fight me on warranty coverage.
I had the AEM update done at the Dealer on Monday, and after around 500 miles of driving the check engine comes on and is a P026C code. From what I can find it is a " Fuel Injection Quantity- quantity lower than expected" flag. Possibly bad injector? or fuel filter? I plan on taking it into...
EGR delete is very easy. The most difficult step is removal of the T-40 bolt next to the firewall. If I did it all over again i would do a stage 1 delete and tune with the EGR turned off
Hi everyone.
Not sure if this has ever been brought up here, is so please direct me to the thread.
Does anyone know if you can simply unplug the EGR in a 2015 ECO? I am assuming that when the truck is off the valve is closed and unplugging it would keep it closed. The idea is no gases (or a...
One of the conditions of the settlement is that the truck has not had any emissions modifications. I deleted the EGR, and am putting it back on for compliance.
Hi everyone.
I have a 2015 Ecodiesel and in the process of getting ready to reinstall the EGR for the recall. My question is, Does anyone remember how the lower coolant line to the egr is plumbed? Does is run from the bottom of the 3 way split to the metal coolant inlet that feeds into the...
