Looking at a 2016 slt bighorn. But looking at all these threads I worry what I might be getting into. Car fax reports 1 owner always dealer maintained. Has 78k on it. Has been under coated. Clean inside and out. 25k is the asking. Would I be crazy to get into this

Welcome!

It for sure is a tough decision. I love mine but it has its days. I have 138k on mine and previous owner had to do a pile of work to it based off the dealership records I hunted down. If you decide to, a tune would help your worries tremendously.

Right now, everyone is watching the great incentives offered. The 0% 90 day deferred payment is available. I believe FCA will even lower prices on new vehicles. I remember dealers selling new Ecodiesel for $32k with a $48k sticker.
For a 4 year old truck with the Ecodiesel. It better have a tune to get the reliable experience of owning a diesel.

Thanks for all the responses. I offered 2500 off the asking price. If they bite I’ll go for it, and have money left over for gde tune

Just make sure the truck is covered by a warranty. I had two turbo, two starters and another two Navigation systems replaced. The $600 spent on Warranty deductible is just part of having the 100,000 mile max care warranty.
