Coolant leak at the oil-cooler

I’m the somewhat bewildered owner of a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Eco Diesel. My car already has 135K because I travel several States for my job. Lately, the car has been in the dealer shop more than on the road. I’m talking multiple weeks at a time! According to the service man, parts are damn-near non-existent!
The latest fiasco is an oil-cooler that’s apparently now leaking coolant. Repair cost is quoted to be more than $1200, and it’s expected that the parts will take a month to get here!!
Am I being taken? Does this sound at all reasonable and unsurprising?
