Delete: Pros & Cons

Hello,
I am new to the forum and was looking around a little bit on here about deletes. I am new to the diesel and truck world. I am wondering what the pros and cons are of deleting my 2015. I really don’t even understand what a delete is and the different types. I see people talking about DPF/ECM and I have no idea what it means.

It means to illegally modify and typically remove the emissions equipment that is needed for the vehicle to meet the standards of the pollution act.
DPF- diesel particulate filter
ECM- engine control module
EGR- exhaust gas recirculation
