Hello to all,
Living near Orillia, Ontario.I would like to delete the EGR, soot is destroying the engine!
A little worried about sending ECM away.
Any local tuners
The main tuners like GDE and SFT have tuner units that have the new tune on it, you plug it into the OBD2 port and flash the ECU yourself. No need to send off the ECU.

The GDE tune doesn't turn off the EGR. SFT is dishonest and incompetent. The main tuner for turning off the EGR or stage 2 deleting is MRT via EOC. They take orders or communicate via email at

How many km on your engine? chances are damage is already done. I'm rebuilding my engine after a second catastrophic failure. My advice... sell it for a good price as if its still working. Good luck

I've been running a Sofa King tune for 50k-60k miles now with no issues (none caused by the tune, anyway). Truck runs cleaner and gets better MPG than the factory tune. Others on this forum are running GDE or MRT - no issues.
