High pressure fuel pump failures

My 2018 ecodiesel at 43000 wonderful miles fried the high pressure fuel pump. Dealer says $8900 minimum to fix. Any and all ideas are welcome no matter how crazy they might seem.

Welcome! Most likely it wiped out the injectors If it went. How did they reach the diagnosis?
