I'm looking at buying a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie 3.0l Ecodiesel. I have no knowledge of diesel engines. Especially DFE. The truck has 113,002 miles. Will I be getting a good truck? Is it difficult to maintain the DFE stuff. What do I need to know? I love the truck but if I'm just gonna have lots of problems I'll buy a different truck. TIA!

The eco diesel can be a finicky vehicle. Do your homework and make a decision that you are comfortable with. A decent understanding of basic mechanics can certainly be helpful. A good quality engine tune is considered by many to be a must with these engines. There are many many happy owners out there but also some horror stories. Read around on the forum!
