New here and my 2016 is new to me and my first diesel. I seem to be getting 21 mpg all the time in town and the highway. That seems low to me for highway diving on flat roads. I hope that I didn’t make a mistake buying this truck because I’ve heard the horror stories out there. I went diesel for the long haul. I buy vehicles and keep them for as long as possible. I love my truck so far and am researching deleting some things to help with longevity and possibly mpg. Or maybe tuning is the way to go. I don’t know. My truck is stock with 40k on it . Any advice?

Hello,
My 2016 does the same thing and on rare ocassions it will go as high as 24mpg around town. I did find out that the tires that are on the truck are not the size the computer thinks I have. I borrowed my brother's tazer and set the computer to the correct diameter tire. Really didn't change much. I'm just happy to get the 21-22 mpg. I've got 94k miles on it and as soon as I hit 100k I'm going to buy an add on computer. I did already install the banks pedal monster and in normal mode I've got too much turbo lag. I've learned to live with the issues because noone has a true fix for it and I'm tired of trying things.
