I just completed a ton of work to my EcoDiesel. I had engine and transmission out, major items replaced were intake manifold, turbo, and CPS/reluctor wheel. Everything is back together now and I can't get is started. I suspect its the new CPS. The reluctor wheel I got straight from Mopar but the sensor I got off amazon (yes, I know, shame on me). When I try to start everything in the dash appears normal, no check engine light and no codes stored (there are some random permanent codes stored). Its keyless and when I press to start the engine will crank for approx 1 second and then stop. I've cycled it on and off to ensure the fuel pressure is building from the tank to the HPFP. I can see from the scanner that fuel rail pressure will start to build in that 1 sec of cranking. After lots of trouble shooting still no codes. The tachometer does not move when I try to start and I also see 0 rpms in the scanner when I try to start. Does the tach kick in that quickly? I can't remember. Does anyone know of other reasons why the ecodiesel would crank momentarily and then stop? There doesn't seem to be a good way to see the CPS signal from a scanner (I'm using alfaOBD), anyone know how to hook up an oscilliscope to see the raw sensor signal (There is a youtube of someone showing the results, but not how to hook it up).
