Oil leak at 20k miles

I recently purchased a clean 2017 which had less than 22k miles on it. Had an independent mechanic do a vehicle inspection on it with me and found oil on the front passenger side of the engine. Dealer told me there has been some with “oil weep”.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I feel it is a warranty issue and there should not be be any oil leaks.
