Oil Sensor

Hey new to the forum, just wondering if anyone had this happen to their oil sensor!? I just bought a 2016 1500 eco and noticed the leak coming off the sensor, the dealer I bought it from paid for the repair and I got it done at a buddies shop so I was able to see what was up. But it’s chewed! Maybe just crappy crush washer material? Aluminum, would copper be better? The new one we put on had the same material washer on it so I’ll be keeping an eye on it.

Thanks! Either way I wonder why would the crush washer get so chewed up like that?
